In addition to the impressive sale of LADY SHATZI’s foal bringing ¥76,000,000 at the JRHA Sale, there are other yearlings and foals that were offspring of mares sold privately from Colombo Bloodstock Agency to both Mr. Teruya Yoshida of Shadai Farm and Mr. Katsumi Yoshida of Northern Farm.
XUA, a Group 2 winner and multiple Group 3 performer, was a private sale to Shadai Farm. Her yearling colt (above) by HEART’S CRY brought ¥90,000,000 (US$882,353).
PAITA, a Group 1 winner and multiple Group performer is also the dam of Group 1 placed, PIRIKA. PAITA was a private sale to Shadai Farm. Her yearling colt (above) by DEEP IMPACT brought ¥88,000,000 (US$862,746).
RISING CROSS, a Group 2 winner and multiple Group 1 and Group 3 placed performer, was a private sale to Northern Farm. Her weanling filly (above) by HEART’S CRY brought ¥40,000,000 (US$392,157).
BARANCELLA, a multiple Grade 1, Grade 2 and Grade 3 performer, was a private sale to Northern Farm. Her weanling colt (above) brought ¥ 39,000,000 (US$ 383,353).
GORELLA, a Group 2 winner and multiple G1, G2 & G3 performer, was a private sale to Northern Farm. Her yearling filly by KING KAMEHAMEHA brought ¥26,000,000 (US$255,000).
The offspring of these 6 private sales (including LADY SHATZI) totaled ¥359,000,000 or US$3,519,708.
