About Us

Eugenio Colombo

I follow a simple philosophy…establishing and building long term relationships with my clients.  I also firmly believe in Quality over Quantity, which helps keep me focused on finding the best racing and/or breeding bloodstock available.

I started my bloodstock agency in Italy in 1969 and began traveling worldwide to conduct to find the best bloodstock available.  In 1969 I sold my first horse, BACUCO, to an American syndicate and he finished 3rd in his US debut.  It was my first trip to America and it proved to be inspirational.  In 1978, I finally relocated to America for good; first to New York, then Pasadena, California, my farm in Ocala, Florida and currently in Boynton Beach, Florida.

I worked for Fasig-Tipton conducting private transactions, after Mr. Brandt and Mr. Ichan took over the company.  I organized the first “Night of the Stars”, where we sold $45M of bloodstock in two hours.  They have since re-implemented this sale format, now known as the “November Select Sale,” and it remains a successful evening for top quality bloodstock.

I have had the pleasure of working with many of the top people in the Thoroughbred industry.

I would like to take the opportunity to introduce you to some of my best clients:  H.H. Aga Khan, John Messara of Arrowfield (AUS), Teruya Yoshida of Shadai Farm, Katsumi Yoshida of Northern Farm, the Wildenstein Family, the Wertheimer Family, Frank Stronach, Nelson Bunker Hunt, Gary Tanaka, Stone Farm, Three Chimneys Farm, Stonerside Farm, John Amerman, Madeline Auerbach, McCauley Farm, Jerome and Marlene Brody of Gallagher Stud, Joe Allen, Ivan Allen, Haras du Mezeray, Bruno Grizzetti, Guido Borghi, Antonio Boesso, Luciano Gaucci, Mario Hofer, Wayne Hughes, Dominic Le of Hong Kong, Paul Makin of Australia and George Strawbridge, just to name a few.  It is also worth noting that I began conducting business in the early 1970’s with many of them, including Mr. Yoshida, the Wildenstein’s and the Aga Khan and they still remain my friends to this day.
