transaction négociée par Eugenio Colombo, la fille d’Elusive Quality gardera néanmoins les couleurs de ses anciens propriétaires, vendredi. Elle restera à 3 ans aux soins de John Gosden et privilégie la Poule d’Essai des Pouliches.

Teruya Yoshida, who displayed his eye for a tasty deal when purchasing a half-share in Danedream before her runaway victory in

the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, has moved to acquire another top-class filly after sealing a deal that will allow Breeders’ Cup favourite Elusive Kate to remain with John Gosden next year.

The Prix Marcel Boussac winner – who had been due to go through the Fasig-Tipton sales ring on Sunday – is Coral’s 11-4 favourite for Friday’s

Juvenile Fillies Turf, in which she will race in the colours of Magnolia Racing and Gosden’s wife Rachel Hood for the final time.

Eugenio Colombo, the bloodstock agent who handled the deal, said: “I am extremely pleased. I flew in on Saturday to have a look at her and I fell in love with her right away. She is very athletic, strong and loves to

run. She has been scratched from the sale and will go back into training

with John Gosden.”

Elusive Kate, the 2-1 morning-line favorite for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (gr. IIT), has been sold to Terry Yoshida, according to bloodstock agent Eugenio Colombo, who represented Yoshida. The European-raced filly will continue to be trained by John Gosden.

Robert and

Janice McNair’s Magnolia Racing and Gosden’s wife, Rachel Hood, previously owned Elusive Kate, and the sale was completed Oct. 31. Colombo said that the filly would appear under the Magnolia colors in the Breeders’ Cup.

Elusive Kate galloped on the Churchill Downs turf course Nov. 1 with Colombo watching the move.

“When I saw her Saturday, I fell in

love,” said Colombo. “This morning I saw that she has recovered from the trip (from Europe), and she looks good.”

Bred by Clovelly Farms in Kentucky, the 2-year-old daughter of Elusive Quality —Gout de Terroir, by Lemon Drop Kid , has won four consecutive races in Europe. She broke her maiden at Kempton in June and then added three French stakes wins, culminating in the Oct. 2 Prix Marcel Boussac-Criterium de Pouliches (Fr-I).

Colombo said that after the Breeders’ Cup, Elusive Kate would return to Europe and Gosden’s barn. Her main 2012 goal will be the Poule d’Essai

des Pouliches (French One Thousand Guineas, Fr-I).
