Multiple Grade 1 winner Point of Entry has been retired from racing and, as was announced earlier this year, will stand the 2014 breeding season at Frank Stronach’s Adena Springs Kentucky in Paris, Ky.

The 5-year-old

son of Dynaformer made his final start in the Breeders’ Cup Turf last weekend, finishing fourth. That marked a successful return for Point of Entry and recovery from a condylar fracture in his left hind cannon bone suffered last June while winning the Grade 1 Manhattan Handicap.

Point

of Entry, a Phipps Stable homebred, retires with nine wins in 18 starts for earnings of $2,494,490, highlighted by five Grade 1 victories.

Stronach bought into Point of Entry in January. Per the agreement, Stronach maintained a half-interest in the horse with the Phippses during the remainder of his racing career, and will

take over a majority share while the horse stands at stud.

Pass, whose five winners from seven foals to race also include multiple Grade 1 winner Pine Island and stakes-placed winner Chili Cat.
